bio
I'm a film industry professional with a penchant for storytelling and technology. My expertise encompasses the full lifecycle of a film, from funding, development and post-production to programming and distribution. I have insights and experience from both the music industry and the art world, and I've worked in film for a number of landmark NYC indies including The Orchard, Tribeca Film Institute and Miramax. With degrees from both NYU Tisch Film School and Columbia School of Arts (Film & Television), I've spent years collaborating with both commercial and indie filmmakers as a hands-on creative partner and as a finance and strategy advisor.
A bit about me:
From the biggest media companies to high growth, viral startups – as a business leader and a principal creative – my work has focused on storytelling expertise, strong team building and leadership. I love to learn about people's obsessions and infatuations, and that curiosity has carried me from film to podcasting and, most recently, into the uncharted world of sleep tech, where we’re pioneering a new form of purpose-built (and laugh inducing!) functional audio and light.
In 2019, I made the leap from film to podcasting, diving headfirst into content development, programming, and acquisitions at Stitcher, then SiriusXM. Along the way, I’ve negotiated nine-figure podcast deals (ad sales! subscription growth! brand value!); helped partners build successful networks around their tentpole content; and engineered deal structures that made creative producers and finance teams high-five. I’ve also been fortunate enough to collaborate with some of the world’s most iconic creators and podcast talent.
Before podcasts stole my heart, I spent years immersed in the full lifecycle of a film. From funding and development to post-production and distribution, I worked with NYC indie legends like The Orchard, Tribeca Film, and Miramax. I spent years being a creative partner to filmmakers, balancing art and strategy like a tightrope walker who also does spreadsheets.
One of my proudest moments in moving from the creative side of film into the business side of distribution was the opportunity to lead the development of automated tools that gave creators and distributors transparency around the monetization of content in a quickly-changing landscape. This small revolution was wildly rewarding, and quickly became our calling card. I’m a big believer in transparency between distributors and creators – the faster we learn, the more we succeed.
At the core of it all, I love a creative challenge and I live and breathe the business of storytelling, problem solving, and team building. If it’s timely, impactful, or just plain fun, I’m probably interested.
Now tell me about you!
